Contracts from the order and machines at delivery: written steps
Who does this: Sales administrators, warehouse and billing
A contract created from a sales order should be ready to bill, and every delivered machine should land on the right contract so meter reads, billing and service coverage start right away.
This training covers
- Creating the contract from the sales order
- Machines placed on the contract at delivery
- The Delivered Equipment Without Machine report
Before you start
- The contract takes its customer, bill-to and term from the order.
- Validating the delivery adds the machines.
- Use the report to sync anything that was missed.
Contracts from the order and machines at delivery
- Contract field: type a name, Create and edit.
- Customer, bill-to and term come from the order. Save.
- After delivery, the chatter lists the machines.
- Inventory > Reporting > Delivered Equipment Without Machine.
- Select a row, Actions > Sync Machines to Contract.
What you just did
- Created a contract from the order
- Saw the machines added at delivery
- Synced a delivered machine from the report
That's contracts from the order and machines at delivery. Next up, Chapter 8: ended contracts move to your billable Bill Code.
