Customers and users: written steps

Who does this: Administrators

Each customer should have one record, so contracts, machines and invoices stay together, and portal users should stay customers.

Before you start

• An existing customer is linked, not copied.
• Possible Duplicates is under Noetics MPS, Roles.
• Only internal users get staff roles.

Customers and users

1. Noetics MPS > Roles > Customers.
2. New customer with an existing name; save.
3. Noetics shows the existing customer's number.
4. Roles > Possible Duplicates.
5. Grouped look-alikes with counts.
6. Portal user: no Roles tab.
7. Internal user: Roles tab.

• Opened Possible Duplicates
